February 2016 Goals!

What!! It is February already?!! I tell ya, 2016 is the year you can’t sleep because time is flying. January was a pretty good month for me. I have to say, I really like this idea of actually writing my goals down. It keeps me accountable of what I have set out to do. I met most of my goals for January, and the ones that weren’t completed, I at least attempted. So overall, I think I got 2016 off to a great start!┬áNow let’s plan out February!

  1. Health/Fitness– This one is a stickler for me. I have always been a thin person, so at first sight I might look like a healthy person. However, I can tell, things are starting to slow down. NOOO!! I’m not ready! Bring back my youth! I have always had an interest in fitness and have attempted fitness routines many times. My consistency never holds up but I don’t think I can get away with that anymore! So during the month of February, it is my goal to do some research and find a routine that is simple, quick and something I can do at home. Wish me luck!
  2. Step Up My Prayer Life– Prayer changes things! Prayer is my direct conversations with the Lord, however, I know I am not talking to Him as much as I should. I have been getting into the habit of saving my tie with the Lord for the very last 5-10 minutes before I drift off to sleep. I want to begin to start my day off in prayer instead of fitting it i when I can. God is guiding my steps so it is important to me that I make time, real authentic, dedicated time to reflect in Him!
  3. Plan and be Proactive– I am a procrastinator beyond belief. I actually feel like I do better when the pressure is on. Lately though, waiting till the last-minute has been kicking my butt and I have actually missed some deadlines with school work! No bueno! Well, my sister got me a gift card to Erin Condren. I just received my planner and will be putting it into use. In addition to writing down plans, it is my goal to get in the habit of working on things when I get them instead of putting them off until the last-minute.
  4. Reconnect with my Family– Family matters have been raging this year. Early this month my sister and I got into a huge fight. Two headstrong young women in different stages in life finally pushed each other too far. Still that’s my sis and there is always love. We have since reconciled but we definitely still need to have a conversation to address some things that keep coming up with us. In addition, things with my mom and I are a little different too. There really just needs to be some adjustment with roles, especially concerning my son. I am so grateful for my mom but I am a woman who needs my space and that is something my mom doesn’t understand. So some conversations will take place this month. These ladies are my family and I want things to be as smooth as can be with them.

I think February is going to be another productive month full of lots of opportunities for growth. What goals are you putting into place this month?
